This will be the 5th Summer we have lived in this house, and every year I look at my empty flower beds and spend way too much time trying to figure out the perfect arrangement of sorted shrubbery, perennials, and annuals. This was the weekend finally, to put it all together. Todd won't be home until late Sat. I have all day Fri. and Sat. to devote to this long put off project. Last weekend was spent weeding and preparing the beds, - seeding, mulching, etc. Thursday I made final decisions on types of plants, fertalizer and methods. I drew out my beds - carefully analyzing where each element would fit perfectly, how the colors and varying heights would blend. I went to the nursery, (twice), and bought what I thought to be an ideal assortment of regional flora. Friday morn. I'm set - I have energy, time, materials and a plan......Mother Nature seems to have a plan too - snow!?. It being 'Mother's day weekend', I will refrain from using her name in vain... but oh she does have the worst timing somedays.

4 of you like what you're seeing!:
Where do you live again? Alaska? It hasn't been balmy but in the
60's at least... criminy.
What the heck is going on out there? Snow in Utah...snow in Idaho...snow in Canada...that's all I'm hearing about these days! What happened to global warming?
I'm not even going to mention our weather in Georgia - Y'all will be jealous!
hope your sore bones and tired body have recuperated after this big job. Next time call your dad and I, we will come help you. Listen to your mom, love ya
Hey Jen,
Did you get your flowers planted? Where do you get them? I am always looking for a nursery with great deals and it looks like you got a bunch. I want to do a garden again, are you going to plant one? Why don't you stop by and visit when Reagan has dance? What day is it?
Later-
