My cousin Brooke is really good about blogging about her kids. Every time I read her blog I am reminded that I need to blog about some of the little personality traits and stages the kids are going through so we don't forget...they're growing so fast...here goes...
Reagan is 8 and in second grade. She refuses to say that she likes school, but she does really well. Her teacher told us that Reagan is on a short list of kids at school
she can trust to be honest with her. Reagan is totally organized. She lays her clothes out every night and makes schedules for herself. I scanned one here...I'm think it's pretty funny....especially when it says at 7:20 she comes to wake up Todd and I! Yes, our daughter is a lot more disciplined then her parents!

Yes, our daughter is a lot more disciplined then her parents! She likes her room to be clean too and likes everything in it's place, (well she got that from me!) Reagan loves to laugh and recently she told us she is the funniest person in her class because when she cracks a joke she doesn't get in trouble..unlike most of the kids:) She makes friends very easily and has chosen very good girls as her close friends. Reagan loves her cousins and family on both sides and wants everyday to be a family reunion. I was worried when Tanner was 5 yrs younger then her that they would not have a close relationship...well I couldn't have been more wrong. They are very close. When Todd and I went to Vegas, Reagan stayed with the neighbors and Tanner stayed at his cousin's and they missed us, but more so they missed each other! I think they are so close because of Reagan...she is very patient with him and will let him have his way a lot. Life is just easier & sunnier when Reagan is around...that's why we call her our 'Sunshine girl'. Well, if she sounds too good to be true let me clarify...last weekend she decided she wanted to be a hair dresser when she grew up and gave herself a bit of a 'chop job' on her hair. I really don't know how to correct the 'layers' she gave herself without cutting all her hair off....thus the hat in the pictures. Well no kid is perfect right?
Tanner - 3yrs. 5months

Oh where to begin?
Tanner is just a big personality! I can't tell you how much he adds to this family. He is our comic relief daily. Tanner's latest favorite things are firemen(truck hoses etc.), KungFu Panda, and Rudolf the red nosed reindeer. Tanner loves to be played with. He loves to play with his action figures and acts out all sorts of scenes with them. He loves it when we join him in his play. His wants me to sit and watch "me shows" and then play "mean guy, nice guy" all day,and then read books for hours, until Reagan comes home and then he wants to play with her. He loves to wrestle and 'fight' with Todd. He would ride snow machines until he falls off (and he has, last week when he fell asleep riding with me.) He will throw fits when it's time to leave or end an activity he loves. Luckily for us though, he can be reasoned with and will consent and not stay too mad at us. He willingly goes to his preschool and Sunbeam class. He does good in these but he's happiest when he sees us again. Tanner still sleeps in his crib with his blankies that he is very attached to. I'm in no hurry to move him into a 'big boy bed' unless there's a good reason to, and I haven't found one yet. Tanner speech and language skills have been slow in developing. He has improved leaps and bounds over the past year. Last year, at this time, his vocabulary was under 20 words and now he doesn't shut-up. He is a bit difficult to understand, especially for anyone who doesn't live with him but this too is improving weekly. A funny phrase he's been using is "Oh, Sorry about that!" He says this when you tell him anything...like "Tanner, your shoes are in your room."or "Tanner lets go to the store" He'll respond "Oh, ary 'bout dat' " It cracks us up...maybe that's why he says it all the time. Tanner doesn't sit still for very long and basically shuns me when I pull out the camera...as I tried to get these pictures he put his head in a pillow and showed me his bum for most of the time...thus most of his pictures you see on this blog are 'candids'!
