We went separate ways this past weekend. Todd to So. Utah for some fun with the boys and Jenn took the kids to Sun Valley for some girly time. (Poor Tanner had to come w/ the girls. I'm sure he would have rather gone with Dad and the motorbikes...maybe next time?)
So. Utah - Hanksville - a.k.a. Middle of Nowhere!
Todd went with 2 of his good friends from school - Joe & Kirk. It was Kirk's 1st trip here but from Todd's reports, he held his own quite well! My Dad & his friend Fred also went with them. They had a good trip. The weather started out a bit rough but ended up being nice.
The kids and I were able to meet up with Kara (Francis) Dudley, and a couple of her kiddos, Tatym & Cooper, in Sun Valley. We had a glorious couple of days there doing NOTHING! Seriously it was great just relaxing, talking, (until 4 am!) watching movies (one of which was the worst chick flicks ever... nights in Rodanthe...UGG!), eating out, and hanging out. We let our kids just get to know each other. Reagan and Tatym seemed to hit it off...of course! They are their mother's daughters! Tanner was his usual crazy man self which luckily Kara thought was funny, even when he had a meltdown in the cafe....(well that was pretty hilarious!). We decided next time it will be just a 'girly' weekend...we love you boys, but there is something extremely nice & therapeutic about a girlfriend retreat! In short it was a great time and a long overdue reunion!
