"They joys of motherhood are never fully experienced until the children are in bed".- Author Unknown.
I was looking at my blog today realizing that I had not posted for over a week and thinking, 'Oh well, it's because nothing exciting or new has happened over the past week.' This is true, but I know if I only post when new and exciting things happen, I'd be posting about 5 times a year, (maybe 6 if I count birthdays!) Even though they're not exciting, these 'plain days' with my children, I will miss someday and want to remember. So I decided to chronicle the bedtimes of my two little munchkins. I found the above quote and find it to be so true. My favorite 'Mommy Time' would have to be bedtime and it's not because I'm sick of my kids, (well okay sometimes it is because I'm sick of my kids!), usually it's because, at bedtime my kids are happy, loving, snuggly, and eager to go to bed. Seriously! Is this normal? I have no idea, but I love it!! So after my babies are sent off to dream - I have the chance to reflect on the day and my kids and how much I love being the mother of these two amazing people.
Nigh Nigh Reagy Peagy.
Reagan's routine at bedtime is the same every night. She gets on her Pj's, p/u her room, snack, brushes teeth, reads, prayers, & tuck in. She's getting to be a really good reader. She loves the Junie B. Jones books. She snuggles in with her Webkinz. Todd & I love this time with her.
Nigh Nigh Tan Tan
At times in his life I would describe Tanner as a 'hard' baby. One thing he has always been good about though, is going to bed. When he was little and fussy, bedtime could not come soon enough. We would countdown to 8:00 and then say, "Okay Tan, time for nigh, nigh." and literally the kid would get giddy with excitement! He sleeps with the 'B's - Ba ba, Blues Clues, Buddy Bear, and Blankies. (3 of his blankies!) Nigh, Nigh, my big boy...

2 of you like what you're seeing!:
Way too cute Jen! I have to admit that bedtime is NOT my favorite time of night(except when they are all asleep). It's the getting to that stage that is crazy with 5 kids. I did, last night, take some time with my little Ethan(who will be 2 next week) and sing him to sleep. He was so peaceful and such an angel. So thanks Jen for inspiring me!
BTW Ali is 6 turning 7 next week! It's good to know that girls can survive with all the boys!
Love those sweet babies. They are growing up way to fast. Come see us often, I can't get enough of my grandkids. I like this age when they still are excited to see me!!!
