It's hard to believe that there are weeks when our family has nothing to put in our Blog. This week has been jammed packed with good fun, great friends, good food, great family, & gorgeous fireworks!
our favorite places...
Of course our favorite place is Canada! Even though I lived there for only 11 yrs. it is, and will always be 'home'. We have our 'must do's' when we're there. 1st was swimming at the Ramada. Reagan would have spent the whole trip here if we'd have let her!
The 2nd place we hit was Waterton. Waterton is the most beautiful place on earth! (Isn't that right Reagan?) We went to Cameron falls & Cameron lake. On the way to the lake we saw a mama bear and her two babies wandering along. Amazing!! (We told the kids this was very rare to see, but they expected to see another bear right around every corner!) We rented a surrey bike and got ice cream at the big scoop.Yumm! We saw a Mountie, went to the Prince of Wales hotel and dipped our toes in Marquis hole. - In short a perfect day!
The 3rd adventure of this week was the James Henry Tanner Family Reunion. This was the best reunion I can ever remember going to!! It was in Cardston, -where my beautiful grandparent's now live. My cousin Tammy and her fun family live there as well and were kind enough to let us stay at their house! Tammy helped organize the reunion too. There were tons of games for the kids, an 'Amazing Race', 'Tanner Idol', Family dance, Rook tournament, family fun run, prizes and a TON OF FOOD including homemade blizzards!! Almost everyone was there and I absolutely loved seeing and getting reacquainted with my awesome Canadian family - We Love You All!
God Bless Canada!
After the reunion, it was rush back to the U.S.A. for the 3rd of July fireworks in our backyard! Our annual party was a lot of fun. We had around 50 friends & family here, for food, fun, & fireworks! Check out my healthy spread - diet?! -we don't need no stinkin' diet!

God Bless the USA!
The 4th of July is one of our favorite times of the year. First the Idaho Falls parade is a must, then a back yard shin-dig @ Todd's parents house. Later on in the afternoon, more backyard fun @ my parents house! Finaly it's over to the I.F. greenbelt for a fireworks display that is second to none!! All in all it's a great day filled with...fun, family, food, favorite places & fireworks!

Just doing this post has made me extremely aware of how blessed we really are in our lives. We do have great friends, family, fun, food and fireworks!! PHEW!...Did I mention we're exhausted?!

7 of you like what you're seeing!:
OH MY Jenn...what a week! We go to WAterton ALL the time, and never have that much luck in one day! How fun! Your reunion looks so fun! And your party in Idaho...WHEW...you are one busy gal!
Great post Jen,
makes me excited to be in waterton! Hopefully we will get to see some bears too.
Great post - I loved all the pics! One year we were in the States on July 1st, then in Canada on the 4th. We miss out on all the fun in both countries and we felt deprived! Just thought I'd share...
Oh my goodness your mom!! She looks SO YOUNG! I can't wait to see the in person version! my mom said she even went running with her! That is so weird that you were only in canada for 11 years. you've spent the majority of you live in the US then. I somehow never put that together.
Ok first of all don't you know that those bears are WILD!!! And a momma bear with her cubs!! You are Crazy!!! but I'm sure it's a great memory that you and your kids will never forget! I loved all the pictures too. Your reunion looked like a blast!! And even though you were only in Canada for 11 years You are CANADIAN!! and it's nice that you haven't forgot it!
Fantastic post! The slide show brought me back to the reunion. Not my best picture, but whach ya gonna do?
I had fun in Canada
