As I know most of you have, we too have been watching the Olympics, cheering on our Country men and women in their quest for Gold. It has been very inspiring. I'm sure this inspiration had a part in our choice of activity today. We went skiing to Jackson Hole, WY. Even I, dusted off the old skis and partook in this Nordic goodness.
Bonus: Teton Village has a high speed quad chair lift up the bunny hill so we all could ride together!
Tip for chair lift bonding - keep your tips up!
Reagan
Reagan won gold this trip for most improved skier ever! She did really great. She started the day out by falling in order to stop, and by the end of the day she could totally control her speed and stop without crashing. She also is a bit of a speed demon and while Todd wrestled with Tanner most of the day, my job was to keep up with her. By the end of the day I couldn't catch her.
Tan the Man
This was Tanner's 1st foray on the slopes. He LOVED it. Todd rigged up a harness of sorts and Tan the Man went for it. He had no fear...he fell a thousand times...He only had one meltdown... which was remedied with a $6 bag of Doritos and a diet Coke from the Lodge.

Props go to Todd for his technical ski skills. Tan was a handful to say the least! Todd, standing back wards, had to get Tanner upright, point Tanner's skis downhill, jump out of the way while Tanner took off, then he had get in line behind Tanner and try to control him. He also had to be quick to jump out of the way when Tan wiped out, so as not to run him over, & then he had to start the process all over. Skiing with Tanner should be an Olympic event in and of itself!
Me...
...well it'd been a few years since I took to the hill and I was a bit rusty at 1st. Luckily I was able to channel my inner 'Lindsey Vonn' and I by the end of the day, I owned that Bunny hill!
Oh and just in case you were wondering who I will be cheering for in Sunday's Gold medal Hockey Match...
