We got the news this morning that instead of going back to school after 4 days of spring break, the kids got a 1 day 'extension'...Hurray!! Not. The 'extension' was due to SNOW! Yes our Spring break has been full of the white stuff. We always get a little in April but we've had more then our share this year.
Oh well we tried to make the best of it...
Easter
The kids were very excited!
We had a great day - Bunny time - Conference - Easter dinner @ Todd's folks - and saying Adieu to our wonderful nephew Nathan who goes into the MTC tomorrow, heading to Peru.
Tanner came home from Church a couple of weeks ago and said "Daddy I got bad news..."
Todd - "What Tanner?"
Tanner - "Jesus died."
So we explained that the good news is that he lived again and so can we.
We also explained that this is why we celebrate Easter.
He has been telling everybody the good news since!
Reagan declared she no longer believes in the Easter bunny! (GASP!!) Her theory is that I hide the eggs...as if?! She thinks the 'bunny' gave himself away when he hid an egg outside and left 'human' footprints in the snow. I said maybe the bunny boy wears running shoes when there is snow on the ground to protect his paws....she's considering it as an option...
Tanner - "Hey the Easter bunny got my dragon at Walmart"
Me - "How can you tell?"
Tanner -"Right here...(he 'sounds' it out), Waaaalllmaarrrtt!"
On one of our Spring Break days we went to see 'How to train your dragon', the new movie from Dreamworks. We loved it - especially Tanner -he was completely enthralled! It's one that even the grown-ups will like.
P.S. - Princess Leah is giving birth as I post this...thankfully she's not on my bed!
